Hey guys,
Simple question: I installed a new NAPA radiator which came with a plastic stock ****. I gave the threads 1.5 wraps with teflon tape, and filled the thing. Now, an hour later, it is dripping. Does this stopcock just suck or do I need to drain the whole thing again, wrap the piece like 4 times in teflon, and re-install? I have already tightened the stopcock with pliers as much as I dare without snapping off the plastic wings. Thanks for any advice.
Replace it with a good brass one , if not it will get brittle in time and will break when you turn it to drain the radiator . Then you have the problem of getting the small broken part out. Ask me how i know .
