Replacing Radiator Drain ****

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0L with a broken plastic radiator drain ****. I did purchase a new drain **** but when I try to remove the broken one, something stops complete removal. I am able to screw the remaining stub in and out and it doesn't leak but I would like to replace it.

I would sure appreciate any tips on getting the broken one out.

Thanks
Art

The radiator is" plastic"; not sure if you can exchange "pet-****". The metal on each side is for mounting the radiator onto the frame. Manufacturers went to plastic to reduce weight. You can still purchase an all metal radiator except they are a little more expensive.

tommy: Thanks for the info. After not getting any replies, I decided that perhaps no one had a answer as there is no problem. I got a replacement drain **** at Napa, drained some liquid from the radiator and pulled the old drain **** out. The resistance to removal appears to come from the "O" ring on the shaft.
