04 no start

Hi guys, i just finished an egr delete, oil cooler replacement, turbo rebuild, new injector orings and washers, blue spring, updated standpipe and dummy plugs, and ccv mod on my truck.

I fired up right away and ran great for a couple of days, then one day, no start.

I tried unplugging the icp on the valve cover, still no start, check on the sg2,

Battery voltage - 12.4
rpm cranking - 175
ficm is 54.5 while cranking, has swamps ficm
No dtc
icp while cranking is only 280psi
but when i unplug the icp it goes to 1180psi, still no start

Does this sound like the ipr went out from junk in the oil while tearing it apart?
I keep everything as clean as possible when swaping oil cooler, changed the oil filter, new t6 oil, has new oem filter cap.

If you have any more suggestions on how to test, or what to test let me know, i am still a little confused on the no start diagnoses process, and am still entering the sg2 x codes and trying to decifer them. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks

Ok Thanks for the replys

No smoke out of the exhaust,

I kinda thought it was the ipr, but wanted some affirmation before i tore back into it. I did use a rag and tried to clean it as good as i could and not leave lint, but thats not really that easy.

Thanks again i will let you know what i find out when i pull it out.

Well i finally got my new ipr installed and the truck runs great. The old one had the screen pushed way in.

I did forget to plug back in the icp sensor from when i was testing and now have a cel and a p2285 code that wont clear after plugging back in, but it is reading the right voltages i think.

Is there a way to completely clear that code, my sg2 doesn't want to?

My SGII wouldnt clear that one either

Try to Erase it and then Turn Key to OFF Position

Sean Had a Trick the other Day

I ended up unhooking the Batterys and left headlights on for 30 min that will Clear anything

Try the Key thing first let me know if it works

And watch the SGII ICP PSI like a Hawk if it starts to spike again your going to have to clean the screen before it Blows it out again

It will spike ICP before it Blows

But your probably good now

Thanks for the fast reply, I will have to try to clear it in the morning,

What psi should it hit before a guy pulls it apart to clean it?

Odds are you wont have to but cleaning is cheaper than new Valve

Not too many repeat failures

At Hot Idel you should be in the 580 or 620 ICP range

It will normaly be higher ICP when Cold just watch when gets to normal temp these^^ 2

you might notice a Surge if fit did plug again

But you shouldnt have anymore Problems

Hey Blades thanks for all the help.

It worked to clear the code then shut the key back off. CEL stayed off after that.

I am normally at 588 at idle when up to temp so it should be ok. Thanks again
