turnsignal lever

Remember, I am a newbie for the bumpsides: how do you remove the turnsginal switch from the steering column? Mine is very rusted and I want to take it out and try to clean it up or get a better one...

On my 1970 f250 truck the lever has a flat spot close to the colum, use a cresent wrench and you sould be able to unscrew it.

Yes, so does mine. I will give it a shot of WD-40 first.

Have actually had the one in my '69 slowly rattle its way unscrewed and fall on the floor.

As original:

C8AZ-13305-B .. T/S Switch Lever-Chrome Shaft & **** / Obsolete ~ No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any / AFAIK-not reproduced.

Applications: 1970/71 F100/350 / 1972 F100/350 before serial number P60,001 // 1968/69 Galaxie/LTD.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: FoMoCo replaced this lever with DOAZ-13305-A / I don't recall if it looks the same or not. It's obsolete, AFAIK, not reproduced.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any. This lever was used in 1970/72 Galaxie/LTD/Mustang/Cougar/Pinto/Bobcat/Maverick/Comet/Thunderbird.

thank-you Bill. I will have to live with it a bit longer. If I find one in a junk yard it will probably be rusted too.

The repro Carpenter sells is D3TZ-13305-B (1973/79 F100/350). Has a chrome shaft w/a black ****. It fits, but doesn't look the same...at all.

LMC is a "middle-man" operation, doesn't reproduce much of anything despite their extensive catalogs.

Most of what LMC sells, they buy from other repro parts sellers. Carpenter repro's more parts than anyone else.

Thats not relevant numberdummy, that part # from LMC is a exact repro chrome turn signal lever. side by side You cant tell it apart from the original .Dont care if LMC is a middleman and dont care who makes it . No one even offers a fully chromed one as of now and was happy to even find one.. I just spent 11k on parts to go along wih the countless hours of research to find the best quality parts from all the different vendors, so at this point i think i know what repro stuff is offered, and the quality.

Although the majority of the repro parts i bought were from DC, Lmc has a few stuff that dc does not offer or is better than DC. LMC also has a much better premium front bumper than dennis carpenter. I dont know who makes it and dont really care but its better than DC's bumper..

Oh and your welcome for that part number abe. geez........... sorry you cant have all the glory around here ND .Just because you have over 40k in posts does not mean you know everything.......
