How do I remove the steering column?

remove the cover at the dash, loosen the 2 bolts holding the column up, remove the screws from the floor plate, under hood, remove the 2 nuts from the rag joint, [be sure and check the rag joint for wear], loosen the clamp at the firewall holding the bottom of the column up, remove the bracket the clamp is around, back under dash remove the 2 bolts holding the column up and unplug the blinker switch and neutral saftey switch, [if so equipped], turn the column with the shifter pointed up and pull toward you. should come right out.
