Not sure what you meant by assemble for putting DuraSpark on your rig, but I think you can put a 1976 390 distributor in already set up for DuraSpark. Then all you have to do is get a Ignition box and wire it up.

Well, well, well. Finally had a break in the weather and little time and patience, and a slide hammer. Thought my old Autolite was stuck to the oilpump drive shaft but that wasn't the case. In the process of freeing the distributor with a block of wood and a hammer the body broke as you can see in the first pic. Now I am waiting for my parts house to get the gasket for the intake to distributor and I still need to run the wire from the ignition switch to the dist. I just have the distributor sitting in place to see if it would fit. Which it does but very tight against the fuel line. Thanks for everyones help and advice, glad I pulled that old one, explains some of the issues after I set the timing.
