power steering pump leaking
hi everyone so i noticed my power steering pump was leaking.i finally got around to looking at it. I found that it looked like it was leaking from the fitting that screws into the resivoir. the line that screws into the fitting doesnt seem to be leaking. Just seems to be right where the fittings screws into the resivoir. Are there o rings inside of there that can cause it to leak. It looks like its leaking at the bottom of the fitting.I would much rather replace an o ring than the pump, since the pump is working fine without any whining. Also, if i take the line of that goes to the fitting so i have bleed any air out of it when i put it back on. Thanks its a 02 f250

You are going to need to replace the line. Not expensive at all. Local auto parts actually carries the parts. Comes with new plastic O-rings. No need to bleed air out. Just start the truck up and let it do its magic. Don't try and use any type of rubber O-ring, don't ask how I know. Just get the whole new line...It'll save ya in the long run.
