(1) Do I need to use Teflon tape on the threads of the water fitting?
(2) Should I replace the rubber "O" ring on it? if so where do I get one?
(3) Should I use Teflon tape on the threads on the coolant temp sensor?
(4) Is Plumber's faucet lube considered the same as NAPA's Syl-Glide?
-Acording to UPS Quantum View my NEW replacement Water Pump should be here on Friday afternoon-guess what I'm doing Saturday??-lol
Thanks Tim! I've forgotten IF the first Airtex pump came with a new seal for the water fitting...guess I'll see when it gets here.....kinda looks like I could use a garden hose washer there if it doesn't.....
Might want to install a coolant filter & get the upper hose for the amb w/ 2 alts that goes around the serp belt - makes changing belts a ton easier. One tip - pull the degas bottle and set it aside makes the job a ton easier.
Thanks Guys!! reason I asked about the plumbers faucet lube kinda doing the same thing as NAPA's Syl-Glide is all my local NAPA's have closed up and I can get the faucet lube at Ace Hardware.....
