For the first time in five years it has rained more than two days in a row here. It has been raining a drizzle for about two weeks and we are almost caught up for the year. Yet we are still three days away from drought conditions.
All I want is rain. Every day, every night.
I like to have a campfire when I camp, and if it rains all next week in the mountains, there wont be any fire restrictions and my Memorial Day trip will be much better than last year.

We've had some good rains here this month. I think we've had about 2.5 inches here and my grandpa about 10 miles south has had over 3 inches. It has been good moisture too. We had some smaller rains that soaked the ground up good then one day we had an inch that ran some water. We raise winter wheat so the rains this time of the year don't really hurt. It did rain a little to soon though because we didn't get done spraying and now the wheat is to tall to spray without doing damage. Things are looking good right now, but we sure could use some more moisture. If we get a few hot weeks things might start going backwards. We do need some more running water though, a lot of the dams are only half full or less, even though a few did fill up. Sorry to hear about the problems of to much rain, that can hurt worse than not enough sometimes. Hope things get better for you all, whether you need more or less rain.
Gee, it's so dry here in NM. Haven't gotten any moisture since two months when it last snowed a little bit in northern central NM. It's been so dry here in last five years, we're having drought problems in entire state. Water is scarce, and whenever it rains. It's a talk of town. Really! I can't even wash my truck on my own driveway. Actually I'm looking forward for monsoon season which would be in late July and August. Much contrast to where I grew up in midwest. I feel for you in southern states needing sun to dry up enough to plant your crops. Send the rain over to west.
Southern California is drrryy. Huge sections of dead pine forrest in the Sanbernardino Mts. due to bark beatles decreased rainfall over the past ten or so years.
Usually, I don't mind the rain, in fact i enjoy it.
It was good to have rain for the 5th annual Xpedition Expedition, so we'd have nice mud holes to tackle, but we tried camping in it this weekend only to cut it short because it wouldn't stop.
No weinies on the fire, no roasting marshmallows
just rain, rain & more rain, now go figure, the day after we got home the sun is shining & its almost 80 degrees! Oh well, better luck next trip!!
