cyinder head alignment dowell part #

Hi there: does anyone have the Ford number for this cyl head alignment dowel? This is one of the number I wish was in a "sticky somewhere.

In fact, if anything is missing from the "FAQ's" that are in this forum it is a list of commonly used/best practice OEM part numbers for these 240/300's. Just one man's humble opinion.

If anyone has this OEM FOrd number I would appreciate a heads up...
Than you

Good reply with a Pioneer # I appreciate it. I have a Felpro # that I can't get locally, which is unusual for me and I think I may have another older set from 2.3 Project that may work but just wanted to get a "proper new" set of the correct number. I'll see if I can get the Pioneer # located.

( The local Ford Dealer had some available @$6 each packaged in "4's" and had to ship them in w/o sharing the part number )..I had to find a better alternative...

Thanks again man.. I can tell that if you take the head off of one of these 4.9's...you should locate a few dowel pins in advance or be prepared to make some up..

Headbolts cylinder head bolts, studs / fasteners for car & truck engines

They used to have it all. If that is not the address, try variations and google.

I just installed my intake again on my head last night. The dowel pin was missing, so I just used a piece of threaded rod that was the right diameter. It worked perfectly. About an inch long segment of, I *think*, 7/16" dia should do the trick.
