Casting Number

I am trying to order a new head for my 2004 Explorer Sport trac 4.0 SOHC and I can't find the casting number. I don't want to have to take the head off to find it as the truck is running right now. Does anyone know exactly where the casting number is on the drivers side head?

Thanks
Eric

You have to have a casting number to get the correct head?

Well IDK but you wouldn't have to remove the head I don't think. Most casting numbers are either on the outside around the spark plug areas or in the valve areas under the valve covers. Sorry I can't help more but on these 4.0l SOHC's I just don't know, haven't had to do any motor work so far.
