Ok even though i like how my tuck looks something about the 4 separate colors in the very front are buggin me (Copper,Black,Tan,Chrome).
My final intent is to add a pair of steel off-road bumpers (Fusion,RoadArmor, etc) but that will have to wait awhile.
In the meantime iam considering having my new Black Grille painted Copper (trucks oem color) i think it will help eliminate some of the changing colors BUT when i add steel bumpers, will it still look good
Also (for future reference) since its a KingRanch should the steel bumpers be in a Black or Tan powdercoat
*Keep in mind it has the 2 tone Copper/Arizona Beige paint scheme & yes the Grille was originally chrome but i didnt like it
Iam adding a Poll to this for u all to help me decide
I'd say leave your grille black, but paint your bumper and the tan trim black. Maybe someone here can photoshop it for you to see what that'll look like before you do it.
I think the biggest changer with your truck would be painting the grill. I would paint that first, put it back on, then decide if you want to change the bumpers or not.
I would go with the black grille and black steel bumper. We have it with our 02 F250. I would keep the grille you have and put on a color mount valance and a black bumper really. But thats my opinion I like Black grilles really over chrome because of the chrome always pealing being on plastic.

I must say the Black Grille is being supported more than i thought, i have really been leaning to painting it Copper to match body color & installing Beige (Tan) offroad bumpers when financially possible....
Thx everyone & keep chime'n in
Thats the choice I voted for. I think it would match and flow with the rest of the truck a little better. just my opinion tho.
If you leave the grill black then id say black bumpers as well.
Thats what iam thinking, the Beige bottom will collide with Black bumpers when your looking at it from the side.
In order for the black bumpers to work id have to cover the beige bottom with Line-X or something & add black fender flares. Only problem after that is all that Tan plastic on the bed rails
I dont know maybe i should just stay true to the KingRanch/Lariet look & keep the Beige bottom, hence adding the Tan off-road bumpers
I think you should paint the grill either the cooper you were thinking of or go with a Lariat/chrome package grill.
I also think you should put the OEM hood back on your truck and give me your cowl hood
Seriously though thats a good looking hood where did you get it from?
Sarge
Hey Sarge,
I too am almost fully convinced the Grille will look better painted Copper, if i keep the oem KR look (beige bottom).
It will blend better w/the way the truck looks now & how it will look later when the oem bumpers are gone & Tan off-road ones are added.
Although i cant say i agree w/your 2nd suggestion
The hood is a all steel Goodmark, i got like $750-800 in it if memory serves correct. If u really want to know where it came from PM me & ill dig out info.
P.S...Not interested in chrome Grille, i pulled mine off & sold it along w/oem Lights
P.S.S...Thanks for compliment on the Hood, i dig it too
Ok i couldnt stand it anymore, needed to see what the Grille would look like in Copper so i had it sprayed BUT i think i liked it in black better
Maybe it will look better when i get the Tan off-road bumpers OR maybe ill have to have it painted black again
What do u all think
