My vote is for tan. You just eliminated the black lights don't go adding black back into it. Take your time and like Firekite said make sure the color matches or we'll just point and laugh. haha.
i think the consensus is pretty aligned here.. i vote tan too. while two tone and/or tan isn't my personal style, i think keeping the tan due to the fact that it is a KR is a must. if you can pull the powdercoat off to match i think you will have a one-of-a-kind customized truck that still stays true to its factory heritage.
i remember when you first started this thread... if you do go with tan bumpers, you will have ended up doing EXACTLY what i pictured in my head right away (including the changes you've made thus far, right down to the headlights). bravo, sir.
Thank u everyone for the Input
Tan they will be (dont want to get beaten down in an alley)
I must now research the "color match" suggestion. Unfortunately the day i stopped in to the place that sprayed my box & asked if he could do colors (he showed me like 3 different Tan's) i didnt have my truck w/me.
Iam sure it wouldnt be a "perfect" match so should i consider Paint instead of the LineX
I just figured the LineX is tough, so no scratch worries.
Could you maybe lay the linex on the bumpers then put the same color paint on top?
Trav
I dont know but if thats the case the bumpers come either "bare" or a black powdercoat. I'll ask my paint guy if he can spray over powdercoat & make it stick.
Iam also going to call the bumper manufactures & ask if they can be sprayed in Arizona Beige @ factory, cause all Ford's w/a Tan bottom use the same AZ Beige color. Maybe its been requested before or they would consider it.
i'll definitely be looking forward to this. excited for you.
Thank u Brandon,
I tell u staying with the KR heritage & spraying them "Tan" was not easy to find a color match but after 2 different shops & numerous spray samples i believe we got a match. I cant wait to see either
