Help with water separator 2005

Hi all. I have a 2005 ford f350 6.0. I have a problem with the water separator that I can't figure out. The truck runs great but when the separator needs to be drained the steering wheel will act funny. If I don't drain it the truck will stall.
After I drain the separator the truck will start right up. I have to drain the separator at least once a week, sometimes twice a day. I have changed the fuel filters many times using the ford filters. I replaced the hfcm module cleaned out the junk inside and replaced. The old one had the fuel heater in it. The new one does not. When I drain the separator it looks like clean diesel coming out. It just seems funny to me that the steering wheel would feel funny when the separator needs to be drained. Not sure if there is enough pressure, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Todd

Never Heard this one Before

As far as I know the water separater has Nothing to do with steering

Have you checked Power steering Fluid and all the Hydro Boost system

Might be a Good Idea to FLUSH the Power steering Fluid and Hydro Boost system with Mercon or some use the Proper Mobil 1 synthetic

let us know if you want to try the PS Flush

Does the WIF Light come on???
or just the steering act Funney???/

the wif comes on sometimes not most of the times. I am wondering if the fuel pressure is low so the truck starts to stall or have low power and that is why the steering would be funny. Thanks Todd

That what I thought too Kinda

Im thinking the WIF light comes on cuz the truck is on the verge of stalling this is kinda common

I dont think its from Low Fuel Press but wouldnt hurt to check the fuel press

theres something else going on and the stall and WIF Light is just the side affect IMO

Have you scanned for DTC????

Any Gauges???

The engine in a stall will not pump as much fluid to the power steering and
that may be what you feel. I would check the fuel you drain in a clear glass
container look for cloudiness and then let it sit for about 1 Hr and see if
it separates into layers. If you find some thing I would think about
changing the place where you get the fuel. If you don't always get fuel at the
same place you may have water getting into your tank by way of the vent
or the cap.
