1974 Bronco, Stock C4 transmission. I have never seen the trans in the truck. I bought in piles. There is a long shaft attached to the steering column. Is this the only linkage between the trans shift mechanism and the steering column? I have scoured the internet looking for a pic of how it attaches. If that one rod attaches to the trans directly, I will feel silly. Anyone got a pic of the install? I have put the trans to the engine and am ready to drop it in. I just want to make sure I have all the parts prior to proceeding.
For the sake of anyone else that may ask this or a similar question about the shift linkage.....the answer is yes. That is all there is. A single rod that goes to the transmission. Now the kickdown linkage is another story. I found the picture believe it or not on my own computer from years ago when I thought....I might need this one day.
welcome to ownership of a 40 yr. ol vehicle.

BTW: I got so much stuff archived (close to 10 yrs of internet) the same stuff happens to me (Bronco "file" - 418 items, pic, diagrams, links etc).
(EDIT) Lots of it from MidAtlanticBR and JBronco Graveyard site: Classic Broncos dot com. I'd recommend the CB site to any owner.
