Dwayne,

I just did mine with the turbo fully installed, but I did have the intercooler pipes off. I don't specifically recall how much of a difference that would have made.

But, it's a simple procedure to pull the passenger side intercooler pipe if you find that it is in the way. I know one of these other guys will be able to tell you right off of the top of their heads if it will help.

P.S. if you do pull an intercooler pipe, they can be sharp on the ends. I put a pretty deep cut in one of my fingers when I was reinstalling the bottom end of one.

Are you planning on doing it with the line in-place, or removing the line?

If you are going to remove and reinstall the line, you should put new sleeves on the ends.

Of all the tasks I've done on this engine in the last couple of months, this is the one I did the least research on, I kinda "winged it" with material selection for in-between the clamp and the line. I used run-of-the-mill spiral wrap, the black kind, for wires, but I don't know what the material is. Probably PVC. You could look around and see what others here have used.

If I re-visit it I will take a look at McMaster and maybe elsewhere and see if there's some elastomer-lined metal clamp that looks like it would work better than the one that's on there. The stock one just looks like it's plasti-dipped.

I was looking for more of a permanent fix, while possibly creating a better system in the process. I know the passenger side line is definately leaking. The line grows to almost twice its diameter from near the clamp-all the way to the back of the passenger side head. My biggest issue is the price of alot of these systems that eliminate many of the problems. Almost $100 for one HPOP oil line seems pretty high to me. I think that wives need to start working for parts stores, setting prices, so that we can all afford to have badass rigs.

I must add that RIFF RAFFs pricing is, by far, the only reasonable, vendor offering quality products that Ive seen so far.

Yes those HP lines to the heads ARE expensive, but I've also seen them go for 2-300k before failing. I'm not justifying price, just sayong they aren't a common fail.
