What's that pipe that runs along the top of the engine?

What's the name of the pipe that runs along the head on the pass. side the 6 tubes going in to the head? I need to either find a new one or fix the current one because it's leaking again.

That's the air injection pipe.

Rockauto.com has them new for about $80ish.

Unfortunately, Rockauto doesn't do links too well.

After you click the big red START button, find your year, make, model, engine in the drop down list.
It'll be under Emission -> Air Injection Pipe.

Weird. It isn't listed for a 96. They're listed for a 92 or 93. The heads didn't change so it should be the same pipe. Does that picture I posted look like the one you have?

I think so. Here's a picture of one that was taken off before when it needed replaced.

They are getting hard to come by.
Dorman for years made a replacement but have discontinued it.

I just plugged the holes and left the pressure side of the pump open with no problems, since it only cools the exhaust at the exit of the head.

Yeah, pretty sure that's the same pipe. It looks like you reuse the valve that's sticking off at an angle, but that part replaces everything else.

Thanks for the info. For now I bought one of those "quick steel" sticks from oreillys and used it where the crack was. I used it a few years ago on that pipe that connects to the exhaust between the two cats and it's still holding up.

This is pretty much a temporary fix to see how it does, and if I need to buy a new pipe I know where to look!
