Hi all,
I need to open this one more time. Can someone provide a link to the install 10k mod?
My ADD keeps redirecting my searches and I can't seem to find the how to.

Thanks.

Why do you want to install a 10k mod with your tuner? It will gain you little and cause SES lights...

Exploring possible options until I can afford to do something else. That is what got me started with this whole mess (mods, etc) someone talks about doing something etc etc.
The only good info I can find on the 10k concerns e99 and earlier.
So, I'm listening, would it defeat the tunes? Or just not help at this time given what I am running?

If your running ANY tuner right now, all a 10k mod is going to do is cause you to get a SES light for ICP pressure, possible hard shifts and more smoke.

Just skip it man, its not going to help.

Good enough for me, thanks Joe. And, well stated.

THOUGHT, the ICP was the culprit, but no dice. However, the truck seems to be a hellofalot quieter, and throttle seems more smooooth.

I had 10k on a SPDT switch (10k/off/15k) for a couple years, until I got a tuner. Yes, it improves throttle response and gave me at least a few psi more boost when turned on. Before I had gauges, I turned it OFF when towing 'cause I was afraid of EGT increase...

Fwiw, the tuners change ICP - just in a more complex way than 10k can. I even played with a 5k resistor a little, that made a HUGE difference LOL!

Also, cramming the resistor into the plug is a bad idea. If you're gonna do this 'cheap mod' I'd strongly recommend stripping the wires a little and soldering the resistor in - then use liquid electrical tape to seal it up. You can always remove the resistor later and reseal the wires w/more liquid tape.
