I have a 2006 f 350 6.0 it has a miss and a hard to start blows black smoke when you get on it. And has a slight shutter at 45 or so when rpm go down. Replaced ficm

kind of sounds like you may have 2 issues. one of them being an injector
Sounds like an injector to me, too. I've had them fail miserably, and not throw a code. A leaking injector can do a lot of damage if it's not addressed quickly. You can try unplugging them one by one until you find the suspected offender. A balance test with the right equipment should point it right out. A dealer tech may charge a C note to diagnose, but if you can't, it's worth it.
If it starts knocking really badly, shut it down before you hydrolock the motor.
Took the truck to the shop they said that there is 5 injectors not firing properly and want to change all 8 could this be right thought I had read somewhere that a truck would be hard to start with one two would be very hard to start if it started at all. I drove the truck to the shop. It has a real bad miss
Yikes. They may not have failed completely, but could be on their way out. When was the FICM replaced? Are you sure it's good?
If the miss is noticeable at idle you can start unplugging them one at a time until you find the worst offender. If 5 were bad(and they can be), I'd change all 8 myself. Injector R/R isn't difficult.
without the truck in front of me, I would say its possible. how hard to start and how bad a truck runs is relitive to how bad each injector really is. An injector can be one of those things that is only a little broken.
If I had to replace 5 I would really think about all 8. and I would also install new fuel filters, a bule spring regulator and an oil change. but thats just me.
