had about 1/4 tank so I decided to fill up.... after that it seems it is running fine now. I am going to disconnect the battery cables again tomorrow and leave them off for about 30 minutes and put them back on and see what happens.
had a fella on another board explain to me that I might need to clean a sensor located on driver side under the de-gas bottle that is attached to a stainless steel tube (what is this sensor called)
also another passage that is located on the passenger side that has a rubber tube coming from what seems to be a sensor going down to the passenger side of the intake (What is this passage called) ... its looks like a burred fitting that screws into the intake
Those would be exhaust back pressure sensor and the map sensor tube. The first mentioned sensor clean the tube also.
Thanks for the help...... if this tube was stopped up...... would it cause the turbo not to kick in?
Reason for asking is that I was driving home the other day from dinner and the motor seemed to be running fine, but I didn't have any boost....... about 5 seconds later the boost kicked in.
I have been having the same issues. Stumbling under load, erratic boost etc..., and no codes, the dealership was stumped, finally installed a VDR (vehicle data recorder) to try and locate problem. The VDR is a computer they program to measure certain parameters and when the problem occurs you push a button and it records all the parameters before and after the event. With the data they were able to determine that the issue was with the Variable Timing on mine.
been having a simular problem with my 05 6.0 it was spuratic at first then slowly became constant. I have several threads on here about it, a lot of people with a lot of good info trying to help. Unfortunatly I have not been able to resolve the problem. My problem seems to be injector related. Not sure if thats a possibility with your issue but your symptoms sound the same. I was instructed to check the Fuel injector control module(FICM). There a lot of information on here about them and they have a high failure rate. Good luck. let us know if you find the fix..
Those would be exhaust back pressure sensor and the map sensor tube. The first mentioned sensor clean the tube also.
got home and pulled the tube......was blocked & also clogged at the base where the tube attached to the exhaust.
disconnected the battery cables ..... cleaned the tube and the port at the exhaust.....installed everything back and hooked the batteries back. Drove it for about 5 miles and it still has a studder after the tranny goes into final drive.
Going to drive it to work in the morning and see if it clears up any.
