Hey Guys, i am in the middle to tearing my truck down to replace the oil cooler, egr delete, intake cleaning, and replacing one injector and putting in new copper gaskets and orings in the other ones.
My question is when i pulled out some of the injectors, the tips were pretty carboned up, what would be the best way to clean them off.
I figured i could soak them in some sea foam or something, then lightly brush them off with a soft brass brush. What do you guys think?
well, the brake cleaner and rag worked ok, but didnt shine them up like i was hopeing, so i did use some very fine scotch brite and cleaned the tip and sealing surface up a little more. All in all though it did take most of the crud off.
