I installed a master cylinder from a 1988 Bronco II on my 1965 Ford. Worked out okay and now I would like to wire the fluid level sensor to a warning light in the cabin. I see though that it takes a three spade connector. Assuming I can find a connector, which wires should I use to light the light when fluid is low?
Harder finding the three spade connector to the master cylinder than I thought. Maybe you have to buy the whole wiring harness
I will hit the junk yards and if I find one, cut it off. What other vehicles can I look for, besides an 88 B2, that use the same low brake fluid sensor?
Sorry to be so long getting back to you pawpaw. I hit a yard and of about 150 fords maybe ten had a three spade connector like mine. IIRC I couldn't figure out how to unsnap the connector so I had to pry the whole reservoir off. Paid $5 for the part plus the $2 to get into the yard.
I did what you said, lowered the fluid level till I found the leads that lit up. Wired it up to my warning light and it works fine. Well, I guess it does
