Brand new 2018 f250 ccsb. After driving and using washer fluid at around 1100kms, low washer fluid indicator came on.
I put in about 3/4 big of fluid and light went off. About an hour later of driving, light came back on. I hadn't used much if any fluid.
I then added the remaing fluid from jug and indicator went out.
I haven't driven since and don't see any liquid under the truck that is parked in my shop.
any idea? Anyone know how much the washer container holds or if there are any known issues with these tanks leaking or floats inside misreading levels?
It may also depend on what kind of washer fluid you use. The fluids that claim to have Rain-X type ingredients ("Beads/repels water!") have been known to coat the sensor to the point it no longer realizes it's wet and throws a false low fluid warning, even when the reservoir is well above empty. Usually that will take more than one refill to cause such buildup on the sensor, and it doesn't necessarily happen to all vehicles, but it's something to consider.
I also wish I had sprayers for the headlights, driving lights, and rear cameras. Same size washer container as every other vehicle I have ever had.

My 2017 recently started doing the same thing. I fill it and in a short period of time - a few days to yesterday 8 hours - my fluid is empty. It seems to hold about 3/4 of a gallon, and there is no way I am using that much.
Turned out that the sprayer for the front camera had an issue and was allowing the fluid to continue to drain out after using it. Apparently there is some sort of check valve in it to prevent this which was not working. The front sprayer has been replaced and all is good.

thanks for this.... I'll see if that was what the issue was. At this point it doesn' seem to be losing fluid anymore. Maybe just a one time thing.
