Ok, so my truck looks like it may have had a chip previously, since the slot is already cut open.
I've looked at the prices... and it looks like Beans might actually be the best $$ usage(sorry to the sponsor), but I'm not sure on performance without the live tune.
Since I live in the middle of nowhere... it looks like a long haul to anywhere that actually has live tuning.
So who do you guys think I go with Beans, DP, or TS?
Thanks.

Reason: Removed Diablo since its a programmer....
I only know about Beans tunes and so I can't compare to others, but, I got the daily driver, tow, stock, exhaust brake and no start. The daily driver is awesome to me...especially on the highway. Running down the road at 70...to pass someone, just press the skinny pedal a little...no need to force a down shift, a va-va-voom! You're around and on your way. I bought it because it was cheaper...the only issue I had with it is the transmission slipped on the 2-3 shift, which others on the forum said was common with tunes...and the solution was a John Woods valve body, for me. Another $250. Not what I wanted, but, damn it works well! So, I think it's a good bang for the buck...customer service was a little slow, but, that could have been an anomaly...ie busy spurt?
Looking at the posts about Beans in the forum show that seems almost the norm... unless you catch a live tune. I'm tenatively looking at 6 months deployment in a couple of weeks, since my wife and kids are staying here, as long as it arrives in that time frame I really don't care.
I was looking at doing the John Woods as well. I've been looking and haven't found an 'idiots guide to valve body swaps' yet. I don't know anything about automatics other than it works with fluid pressure. My last auto cost me $1200 for a full rebuild... stupid chevy 700r4 POS.
If you order your valve body from RiffRaff, he will send you detailed instructions which are easy to follow with pictures for those of us who are mentally challenged...
Go with a TS chip from PHP. If you ever want to live tune, no problem. Every tuner out there (other than DP) uses the TS chip.
Is this the one you mean? Power Hungry Performance - FU™ Performance Chip Package
I don't intend to get too carried away with mods... my wife still has to be able to just sit down and drive it. I'm thinking after an pyro, boost, and tranny temp I'm about spent for gauges too.

If I picked the right site there, that is very tempting looking indeed.

I can use all the help I can get there. RiffRaff is who I was looking at for the valve body, it looked like he had the most customer support and a decent price too.
