I found it.lol

All the wires looked to be in good shape, they dont look like theyve burnt or broken. The ground looked ok to. I cleaned all the terminals and wires with electric cleaner so i could see, it was filthy...lol The weather truned on me so i couldnt test anything. Still no WTS light. I hear 1 click, idk if it was the relay or not. I dont think it was. Im gonna try to test the wires this weekend. Im not real good at elec. but im gonna give it a try to see if its bad. When i do change it, it sure is a stretch to get to...lol

but thank you for all the help you guys have given.

Before you change the controler, have you checked the glow plugs to see if they are all good? A couple of bad plugs will cause the controler to "short cycle" as you are describing. You can test the glows with a test light. The wire from the test light goes on the positive terminal of the battery, then remove the wire from the gp, and touch the tip of the test light to the post on the glow plug you removed the wire from. If the test light comes on, the plug is probably good, no light the plug is bad. You can use an ohm meter for a more acurate test, they should read under.5 ohm IIRC. If you find some bad plugs replace with Motorcraft ZD 9 plugs unless you enjoy changing the plugs as anything else do not last.

Ok you guys are great and thanks for the help.
1st time using a multimeter so i had to figure that out.

the Driver side battery was at 11.16V, low from trying to start so i need to put it on the charger.

Passenger side battery was at 12.37V

Big post on relay, power in was at 12.26V

Power out on realy, the ribbon looking thing was at 0

So im guessing the relay is bad. My question is some places sell just the relay other sell it a relay Buy BWD Relay GPR12 at Advance Auto Parts

and a relay

If you cant guess I'm alittle lost lol, what the difference other than money and which will be easier.
And thanks again for all the help youo guys gave. Im gonna try and replace it this weekend. and if it dont start i guess the next thing will be check all the glow plugs.

The Duralast or BWD is what you want. Both have lifetime warranties. AutoZone or O'Reilly's has them.

AZ: 19462
O'Reilly: GPR8

O'Reilly's has Beru glow plugs as well. Part number: ZD9 Replace any that do not ohm out under the specs. Or replace them all like I did and keep the good ones as spares. Use anti-seize on the threads when installing the new plugs.

Good luck!

OK well I changed the relay today

Nothing changed. No WTS light and it turns over but won't start. Could bad glow pugs be given me no wait to start light.

If your new at these trucks which sounds like you are go back to the parts store and buy this book

"Haynes Techbook
Diesel Engine Repair Manual for GM and Ford light trucks and Vans"
GM 350 5.7L
379 6.5l
Ford 420 6.9 and 445 7.3
Part number # 10330

It has so much info you need to learn and tells you step by step how to use a test light to test glow plug relays, test of glow plugs ETC...

Its a great book and will keep you from nickel and dimming yourself to death.

If you take a test light and place it on the ziggle metal nut and the other side to a ground the light should light when key is turned on.
