I have the same problem on my f350 and I have optima red tops from 2007. They have been on a trickle charger for 3 days now and still charging. I need to take them in and get load tested.

@ housedad, how much are those AGM 65 batteries? Aint they like 200 each?

 

Yep. $220 plus tax. I decided on it because it carries the exact same rating and weight as the Odyssey battery. I found out that is is indeed made by Odyssey. That is when I said heck yes, as the Odyssey batteries are $250 to $300 for the same battery.


Odyssey AGM size 65 batteries are highly prized in the RV world. Just last weekend, at the Hershey RV show, a guy in the parking lot with a large diesel pusher motorhome was showing off his rig to my wife and I. He had 8 of them in there just for his non engine loads. The Rv'rs consider them to be high end for reliability and power.


Gotta love Sears, with all that buying power at their disposal.

It was a no brainer for me. The Diehard won over the Optima hands down.
