I know this has been disussed before, I was wondering how many out there has there turbo pressure gauge surge up and down in regen with the cruise control on, mine is a 2012 350 with 4400 miles and it does it, it doesnt bother me, I usually disengage the cruise till the regen is complete, also has anyone had a cure for this.
Same with my 2011.
You hear the turbo and see the gauge move more than you feel it as strange is that is but you can slightly feel it.
I've gotten use to it but I am curious why it does it.
Level road....cruise on..... boost pressure goes up & down.
I pulled over. Turned off the engine. Waited 15 secs. Restarted the engine. Problem gone.
Has happened 3 times. Told the service folks... They have heard of it. Do not have a cure. Ford is aware of it....no solution yet.
My thought as to why it does it, is during regen it is.injecting fuel in pulses during regen, dumps more fuel then pauses causing like a bog down.so the cruise is trying to compensate for it.
