Here is the one I was interested in purchasing;

BD Turbo Thruster 99.5-03 7.3L Ford Powerstroke 1047510

Wow, I have herd the 38R BB is really loud. That is just to loud for my tastes. If it was not a daily driver or I didn't use it to travel that wood be different. Do you have a link for this T4 job you talked about? How much is it and are they a lot quieter?

7.3 PERFORMANCE TURBO UPGRADE - YouTube

This is how I did it. Worked great and you don't risk damaging the exhaust turbine by trying to wedge it while breaking the compressor loose.
Also, you don't break any additional seals on the pedestal and run the risk of those leaks.

I like the Borg Warner S366 price better. Surprised it dont come with a 1.0 housing though. I also followed similar steps as powerstroke help.com. I just didnt remove the valve cover or any of the tubes.

That's all relative to the rest of the equation. There is a ton of physics going on in a turbo. IIRC,the S366 is pretty comparable (maybe a little better?) than a 38R - except you can rebuild it and once you have a T4 mount, turbo options are almost endless.

The T4 kit plus S366 is just a little more than Int'l bellowed up-pipes and a 38R.
