Transmission Question

I have a 75' F-350 with the 390 and 4 speed manual. How do I check the transmission fluid level on this truck since it does not have a dipstick? This is the first manual vehicle I have dealt with so this may be a stupid question, but do all manuals not have a dipstick?

those transmissions don't have a dipstick there should be a plug in the side of the trans. and all you do it fill the transmission just until it starts to come out of that plug.

i can't remember on that its been a while since i had my 69 but on my 85 its on the passenger side.

Thank you very much. Figured I would go through all the fluids while I am waiting on the Hydraulic cylinder to get back from the shop.
