Hey guys,
This will probably sound funny to a bunch of truck dudes but I think I'm leaking transmission fluid out of my 94 Mazda p/up (ranger), can anyone tell me where the dipstick is located? I can find it anywhere.
Thanx
cblowe you never mentioned about what type of transmission you have in your truck. if its automatic the dip stick is on the passenger side at the fire wall area and if its a manual you have to go under your truck to check the fluid..there is a plug that has to be taken off with a wrench and put your finger inside to see if its up to the plug hole.. and to add fluid you have to use a funnel to do so.mine is a manual and yes thats how i check mine...hope this helps..ps the plug is located on the driver side
I keep a gallon jug of gear oil and another of ATF with pump heads for filling gear cases. I cut a small hole in the top of the jug to stick the hose end in when not in use. I cover the jug with a slightly larger jug or a plastic shopping bag to keep the dust/dirt out.
Those jugs that clumping cat litter comes in make great covers.
Thanks for using FTE!
