That would be ideal. Wish I'd seen it yesterday morning. By noon I had my mind made up that I'm deaf enough already, time to grow up and leave the stereo stuff alone. Returning the stereo equipment for now and going to focus on other parts of the truck...
Nothing wrong with focusing on other parts of the truck either!
You can still greatly improve the stock stereo in your truck to get higher quality sound, dont have to have subs and whatnot.
Thats pretty much what I do now. I forget the amps and subs, but I upgrade the stock deck and speakers to get that better quality sound. I dont blow alot on stereo stuff anymore either, and on my next truck I might even leave it stock!
Sounds interesting. I used to replace the factory stereo stuff in cars when I bought them and install after market equipment. Now for the past number of vehicles, I've just gone with the stock factory stereo system....maybe upgrading through the option list, when buying new.
Some of the stuff available from the factory is fairly impressive...ie; Bose, etc.
I've always upgraded the stereo, but that's cause I've never owned anything new enough to have a good factory stereo!! When you're dealing with early to mid 90's Ford trucks, stereo replacement isn't optional lol.
Once in a while I wish I had a stereo in my Bobcat but not often enough to ever bother actually getting one.......AC and heat are way more important to me.
I cant work without some sort of noise going in the background. I installed a stereo right away in my backhoe, and my dump truck has one as well!
Stereo stuff can be pretty cheap now a days, so I figure why not least install a head unit for a hundred and fifty ish bucks, and not be so damn bored while I work.
I hate background noise. If there is music or something playing, I'm listening to it, singing along, or its off. When I'm working, more often than not I do not have music or anything.
When I'm working, more often than not I do not have music or anything.
I'm the same way. Before I retired my career mostly involved desk work.
When working I find I need as much quiet as I can get. For me, I concentrate a lot better when I can focus without any distractions.
When driving I rarely listen to music on the car radio. If I am listening to music on the car stereo...it's invariably one of my CD's or something like the 'Q' program on CBC Radio 1.
