guys the truck is a 2002 f350 powerstroke, auto trans, electric t case. I am not getting any action from the t case shift motor however when i test it on my bench it works fine. I even tested the sensor for the light on the side of the motor and it lights up for 4x4 and 4 low. I tested the switch on the dash, the reistance is correct for all 3 ranges. I also switched out the 4x4 relays by the master cylinder and checked every fuse. Thinking i have a bad gem module. Give me some hints guys Thanks everybody
My problem was not the same as yours because my instrument panel lights for 4x4 and 4x4 Low would not come on (2000 F250). The problem turned out to be 2 or 3 pins were pushed back slightly in the 6 pin plug going to the motor on the transfer case.
Everything worked fine after reseating the pins by pushing them back in from the rear.
It took quite a long time to figure out that problem, but I learned a lot about the 4x4 ESOF in the process.
