Need clutch fork pivot part number

For the last 4 months I've been chasing parts to get the clutch arm pivot fixed in my '79 F150 4x4. I've abandoned the idea of fixing this one, and have bought a used bell housing off Ebay. I want to replace the rusted pivot in the 'new' housing, and beef it up a little if possible to prevent (or delay) this happening again any time soon.
I need the part number for the blade-type pivot used on the NP435 transmissions. Can't find the part anywhere, so I guess I'll just have to start looking by Ford part number.
If anybody has gone through this ordeal themselves and has any tips/suggestions/improvements, I'd sure like to hear them. This has turned into an ordeal I never want to deal with again on this truck.
Thanks in advance

What are you asking for when you say pivot? The clutch equalizer bar pivot on the engine side? Or the clutch fork pivot seat? 351M different than 400.

Hey Bill, my guess (and that's all it is) is he needs basic P/N 7C508.
Seat, clutch release ball pivot
Fits: 79 F100-350 w/ 3 or 4 spd manual trans
w/ 351M D9TZ-7C508-A
w/ 400 D9TZ-7C508-B

That's what I assumed, but you know that one should never assume anything when it comes to FTE members and their FoMoCo vehicles.

For one thing, how many would know that the pivot is different for a 351M than a 400?

And, as usual, the OP failed to mention the engine size.

Okay, looks like I forgot to put a a couple important pieces of info in my original post. It's the blade-type pivot, not the ball type. THe engine is a 302, swapped in from the original 300 with the same bell housing. The pivot is the one that is riveted just inside the opening in the side of the bell housing, where the clutch fork resides. I've heard there are 3 types, the ball type (which this one is definitely not), the blade type and the blade type with some sort of retaining clip. This is the blade type, the pivot is a little rectangle looking thing with a lip on the bottom, where 2 huge rivets hold it to the bell housing. AS for a retaining clip, I have no idea. I've not managed to fish one out of the bottom of the still-together transmission still in the truck. My '86 F250 with 300/Borg Warner has the ball type pivot, and looked through every possible way to swap this one with the one from my 250, but the bolt pattern and length of the housing are different. I hope that clears things up a bit, I originally posted after lying underneath my truck in 90 degree FLorida heat for a little over 4 hours and wasn't quite all there. Sorry bout that.

Is this what you're looking for?
I "believe" the p/n is B9AZ-7522-A
I couldn't come up with a picture of the exact p/n, this is a picture of a C8AZ-7522-A

According to the parts catalog, when you order a new bellhousing for a 73-up 6 cyl. it comes with the B9AZ-7522-A bracket, that's where I got the P/N from. I couldn't find a replacement part listed separately. The basic P/N 7522 doesn't show one for a '79.
I couldn't find a picture of the -A bracket but if the -B is the replacement I found several pictures of it. This is a picture of the B9AZ-7522-B bracket.

references: 10/88 catalog sez the same thing inre to the bellhousing, but B9AZ-7522-B is not listed after 1972.

1979's use the 7C508 ball type pivot seats, 400 is different from 300/302/351M

OP bought a used bellhousing off ebay. Lawd only knows what its applications are, as most ebay sellers are clueless.

I HATE swaps! Most peeps don't record what the parts come from, so they're up the proverbial creek without a paddle when something gives up the ghost.

That's one of the reasons I post pictures whenever I can.
I agree Bill, most sellers are clueless .

I'll try to get a picture up this weekend, but the clutch fork I have has a huge metal clip on the bottom, where it slides thru the hole in the middle of the bracket. I'll try to get the transmission moved far enough back to recover the broken bracket and post a picture of what it looks like, IF when I find pictures or diagrams of the part numbers y'all provided don't look like what I have. The picture of the C8AZ-7522-A bracket is similar to what's on the bell housing now, but the hole is quite a bit smaller, and the clip on the back of the arm would not fit thru the hole. I'll get some pictures up, but y'all have helped a huge amount already, as always. I'll update again tomorrow afternoon...
On a side note, has anybody else had more trouble finding used parts for these trucks after the Cash For Clunkers disaster?

Cash for Clunkers had a cut-off date, so no 1979 or earlier vehicles were affected.

DOTZ-7515-A .. Clutch Release Lever, has a metal clip on it.

1970 F100/350 240/300/302/360/390 from serial number G30,001 // 1971/76 F100/350 240/300/302/360/390 // 1977/78 F100/350 300/302/351M/400 // 1979 F100/350 300/302/351M/400 before serial number DG0,001.

This is a Dorman replacement for the DOTZ-7515-A that Bill refferenced above. The Dorman p/n is 14552 and is found in the "HELP" section

A picture is worth a 1000 words, is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold forever.

I thank you, as I'm sure the OP does, plus others viewing this thread.
