The FTE project for today is to prep for a GREAT weekend !!!
My question for today is "What is your # 1 thing to do for winterizing your ride" ? My #1 is lube, oil, and filter service ... coolant check and turn on the heater lines !!!
Everybody have an outstanding weekend and play safe and pray for our folks in all that bull ***t in the middle east !!!! Dave
I don't do anything special to winterize my vehicle. If it happens to be due for an oil change or filter change I will do it, but other than that, just keep the fluids topped up, and drive it.
Question of the day... (thanks Dave for doing todays question, because I couldn't think of any) LOL! Great question.

My#1 thing to do to winterize the vehicles?
My 4x4 4Runner/daily driver - Check & fill all of the fluids & tires, put a window scraper, hat/gloves, blanket, shovel, flashlight, tow chain/come-along, drinking water & a MRE, sand bags for weight &/or snow chains, & carry battery cables & extra vehicle fluids in the back just incase. (Jimmy will probably be taking it to work most of the winter because it has 4 wheel drive & is economical)
My Ninja & Olfthfl - They stay parked for the winter, so I put gas stabilizer in them, & check/top off all the fluids/tires & I put lots of sandbags or cement blocks, battery cables, a window scraper, hat/gloves, blanket, & a tow strap in Olfthfl incase I have to take her in an emergency. I try not to drive her though, because she has no traction in the snow & just sits there spinning the tires. I'm lucky if I can even get out of the yard. LOL! I've also been known to disconnect the batteries for the winter as well.
Well, I'm having one of "those" days. Lost power at the house at 10:15 last night. Not a big deal for me, I can sleep when it's quiet. The wife can't, though, and my daughter was freaked out because it was so dark. Power didn't come back on until 5:15 this morning, so it was a looooong night! Oh, and managed to spill coffee all over my jeans. Yeah, I'm ready for the weekend!
Been having a bear [or bears] around the last couple of nights. Broken fences etc. Romeo gets after them. He got one cornered and the bear went right through my neighbors wooden fence. Keeps coming back. Got into another neighbors garage and tore the place up. They had a refrigerator in there and the bear feasted. Giant bear poop in their back yard this morning. What fun!
Howdy Bruce. I've heard the bears are getting braver looking for food, because of the drought.
Could be, but I suspect one of my neighbors of putting out food. [those bears are so cute!] Some folks are slow to understand how destructive they can be.

When I was 16 yrs old I was in Denver visiting family and a car dealership had a promotion to win a free car of your choice ... all you had to do was wrestle a 450LB MUZZLED young brown bear. I was a stout 230lb and a wrestler in High school !!! NO I didn't win the car, but I did **** off the bear LOL ...(hint), you can't pin a bear, they don't have real shoulders they're round all over ... but it was fun to do !!! ...True story

And that would make the YouTube video of the week now, that's for sure!
Yep it was fun and I had bragging rights at school for a long time ... we had pictures too !!! When he made me stop, he had noticed the bear was working on removing his muzzle... the bear was de-clawed too. I had him on his shoulders a few times but he rolled out of it every time (I think he talked to my coach) !!! The whole thing lasted about 10 min. !!! LOL !!!
