Happy Tuesday Nevada FTE. Had the internet go down on Saturday, and it did not get back up until yesterday. (A power surge knocked the modem offline, and there is no management here on weekends to go in and reset it! Grrr) Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!

Bruce - To bad you can't make it to V.C., but I hope you have a safe trip & have alot of fun at the wedding. I'll pass along the birthday wishes.

Jim - Every year in Reno/Sparks is Street Vibrations. There's thousands of beautiful, loud motorcycles that come from all over the US to line the streets & fill the parking lots w/ HOT chicks & guys. There's various vender booths, & different events (poker runs, contests, etc.) w/ lots of music & drinking/partying. Kinda like Sturgis! Unfortunately the downside to it is that most of the biker gangs show up at some point in time & although they try to set there differences aside for Street Vibes, they may/maynot run into their rivals which often causes violence (like last year). Virginia City is alot mellower/safer & on Saturday, all kinds of riders (not many biker gangs - if any) come to V.C. for the Poker Run & parade through town to show off their bikes & that's when the woman show off/flash to earn their bead necklaces. The main street is packed(standing room only) with guys & girls with still & video cameras & they hand out necklaces to the chicks that flash them! I call it "The Titty Parade" LOL!

Pat, Dave, Jim, Bruce,... - Maybe I'll use a picture from Street Vibes as my Avatar next month. We'll see?!

If you were in college, what course/s would you take?


Non credit courses - dance (any kind) & the one I just signed up for at the end of this month...Basic Rider/Motorcycle Safety Course.

Credited courses would be all of my general/pre-req. classes, & medical courses to become a Mid-wife or OB/GYN.

The only classes I took in my short term in collage were ...
#4169812 .. Management styles (sexual harassment training) and
#812469B ... Braille anatomy (lab only) weekend class only.

 

I took all the tech courses & eventually became a auto transmission technician & got my Class A inter provincial.........thats what they call a mechanic up here....

If I had to do it again I would have stayed in architectural drafting, I love designing homes

 

Gig, That is a talent I wish I had in my background right now !!!! (officially jealous) I'm trying to do some plans/prints for a DIY 18' live in trailer on an 18X8 trailer frame. Gonna try to keep it as low in the front as I can around 6' and end up at 7' at the rear ... not gonna be very fancy... but functional !!! Dave !!!

 

I would take the necessary courses to become a professional engineer. As in PE. Then work approving plans and inspecting buildings.

WOW Gigger you're right, where did this week go.... it's not like I was partyin and didn't see it coming OH WELL ..that means it's Friday eve WOOT WOOT We are finally getting a break in the temps NO 100* daytime temps in the forecast ... and over nights are runnin between 63* & 75* PERFECT TO SNOOZE !!!!
My favorite time of the year ... you don't need gloves to pick up the tools you're workin with (OUCH)
