Isn't it amazing how when I typed in the title ... It came out "tears" not "years" so I didn't fix my typo. God save the USA !!!

Happy Patriot's Day!
Believe it or not, I did not even hear about it until I got home from work, and the neighbor kids were talking about what they would have done had they been in the building. I go inside and turn on the TV, and that is when I realized what they were talking about.

I was at work on Sept. 11, 2001 & didn't even know anything had happened until I got home at 3pm. Ben, my husband at the time, told me to sit down & watch the television. I watched in shock & the longer I watched the more tears rolled down my face & the more pissed off I got! I remember telling Ben... How dare they f**k with our Country!!!! We should just end it now... send a nuclear bomb over & kill them all!
I imagine most of us probably felt that way.

Sorry I wasn't on sooner, Kaedon is home sick from school today. So, I had to do the mom thing & the rest of my daily routine first.
My poor lil' girl! She started out nausiated w/ dry heives, chills & a 99.3 temp & now it's up to 102! I don't know whats wrong with her, but I just hope it's a 24 hr bug & she's feeling better soon & I hope I don't get it either because I have to work Sat. & Sun. at Top Gun.
I hope everyone is doing well & staying cool!

Thanks Jim! I'll let her know that you sent get well wishes.
She didn't want to miss school & she probably would've gone if I had let her. She wants to go to school tomorrow regardless of how she feels. I give her credit for her dedication to her school & education, but she doesn't need to get other kids sick either.
So, I guess we'll see how she fairs tonight & decide in the morning.
Her temp has slowly gone up since this morning & seems to have peaked/settled at 103 when I checked it at 6pm. She slept most of the day bundled up in my electric blanket (on high). She just couldn't get rid of the chills & body ache for anything. My poor baby! She did have her good moments off & on today when she felt somewhat better but then again, I think getting Theraflu & food in her stomach helped.
You can always tell when kids don't feel good. They have no energy, they look pale & have that over all "I'm Sick" look about them. They just want mom or dad love &/or go to back to bed.
I'll update you tomorrow.

Kaedon says Thanks to everyone for sending get well thoughts to her. She's feeling alot better this morning - still a little warm(99 temp at 6am), & she did to go to school today. I don't think she's out of the woods yet though. I have a feeling that she'll be calling me later to come home sick. We'll see.

Good morning my brethren of FTE-ites .... Hoping all is well in your "hood" ... with all the rain Vegas got yesterday, out here we didn't get a drop !!! BUT the temps are dropping to a more comfy level !!! 
Donna, I hope Kaedon gets to feeling better soon .
.. it's tough seeing your offspring feeling down, but she needs to stay home so she doesn't spread what she has !!!
