Looks reasonable, but remember that these are bare heads. You will have lots of money in them once you add valves, springs, retainers and labor for the valve job.
Have you looked into the compression ratio with your pistons? What pistons are you using or planning on using?
Yea, by the time you buy all the parts and get the machine work done you would be well on your way to having a nice set of aluminum heads. Why do you want all that compression in the first place ? With the price of fuel I always aim to have just enough compression for the job & no more. Then you can buy the more reasonably priced fuel. IMO for a street motor in a 4x4 9-9.5 is going to be plenty and pump friendly.

With aluminum heads you could get by with a little more compression due to their more rapid heat transfer properties.

yea tim meyer sells a set designed for the aussie head that makes 9.5:1

your right about the additional money it would take to finish these heads. its just that $2000 for aluminum is a tough pill to swollow.
