Hi guys, been googling this for an hour and can't find good info.
Will the Mac et80 code reader read all codes on my 06 f250 6.0? Engine light is not currently on but I don't think it's running right. Alnost stalls when idling.
look into a Scangauge II. its about 150 bucks and not only reads codes but also reads things like the FICM, ICP and IPR and much more. You can also mount it and use it as a set of gauges while driving. A lot of the guys in the 6.0 section, including myself, are using it.
I don't know either. A brand like Mac makes me think yes though. Depends on age of the unit though. Check that your code reader reads all 5 CanBus protocols. The PSD is notorious for cheap readers not working.
I found a decent no-name on eBay for $55 shipped and it reads all 5 protocols.
Yes, SG isn't great with codes but it does a great job of displaying real time "live" data. It does ok at telling you "if" there is a code stored, it just won't tell you what it is sometimes . Another interesting side note- if you do pull a code with it, press the PID button and it will step through freeze frame data for the code. Some of the labels are easy to understand like RPM and MPH but others are labeled with unfamiliar acronyms.
