332 v8

1958 332 v8 in a 1965 f100 worth putting in? Can get a low mileage motor cheap.

No it won't, what will you use for motor mounts?

FE truck motor mounts (rubber insulators) will not bolt to a 332 engine that was only installed in 1958/59 Ford Passenger Cars.

1958/64 FE engines were only installed in cars, have a different bolt pattern on the block where the rubber insulators bolt on.

1958/64 car rubber insulators are different, won't bolt to any 1965/76 truck engine supports (aka towers, stands, perches).

Ford changed the FE engine block bolt pattern in 1965, the first year 352's were installed in F100/350's. So any 1965/71 car FE engine can be used in F100/350's.

1958/64 FE engines have rounded valve covers without holes in them for oil cap, smog valve. Have an engine oil fill tube at the front of the intake manifold, right (passenger) side.

1965/76 FE engines have pent roof shaped valve covers, with holes in them for oil cap/smog valve. There is no engine oil fill tube.

Oops! I forgot about that. Guys have made or modified mounts or used aftermarket which are pretty pricey.
