53 build update
Check a few more items off the punch list. Disk brakes....check. Firewall mounted power brake booster....check. Plumb all brake lines...check. Under bed Mustang tank...check. Test fit front clip with modified lower valence (no directionals)...check.
Thanks to the how-to posted here for the tank install. I did have a few problems, however. The tank body was actually wider than the inner frame. I hade to grind down about a quarter inch from each side of the lower frame for the tank to fit. Also, the how-to did not have stock rear suspension. The tank frame has to be mounted about a half inch from the bottom of the frame to clear the rear spring mounts on the bottom of the frame. No big deal. Looks great.
New disk brakes.
New brake booster and brake lines.
Mustang gas tank.
Front end alignment. I removed the directional light housing humps from the valence. I going with directionals in the headlights.

I made a frame out of 1x1 tubing and mounted my tank under the frame there is a small open space where I put a spacer(where the frame kicks up) This was I can drop the tank if needed without taking off the bumper to slide it out.
In this pic the bolts aren't tight nor is the spacer installed, to the far right is a "L" shaped bracket that is also bolted to the frame.
