selling the 7.3L F350, Just bought an excursion in Oregon

Well, even though I hate to sell my 2001 F350 Powerstroke Crew, I got a killer 2002 Excursion Limited Ultimate 7.3L Diesel. Pics to come after I sell the truck. But I will be going back to the Excursion forum.

What drove you to switch?

I've been thinking about that as well. Two things holding me back are the fact that my truck is low mileage and runs so well and the potential suspen$ion mods I'd need to tow w/ the Ex.

Actually they did....

Some of the early 2000 model XLT trucks had an option for a blue interior as opposed to the Medium Graphite and Medium Parchment available for the 2000-2001 MY.

spotted an Excursion for sale the other day. price tag of 4k so stopped immediately. the gentleman came out, saw my truck, and the first thing he said- "it's not a diesel". it looked great, and the v10 will pass just about anything, except a gas station.

why did I get EX?

I had a 2001 PSD Ex, but it had a lot of little problems. Airbags in the rear are esssential for towing anything big. I sold it because I had a buddy with a 2001 PSD F350 for sale with trans work already done and less than 100K on the ODO. It is a Crew long bed 4x4. BUT.....I need the people moving capability and never use the truck bed for much unless I am taking my drumset to a gig, which I can do in an EX. I midded the EX and regretted not just fixing all the little stuff when I came across the Limited Ultimate. 119K Miles and 1 owner. 4x4 PSD 7.3L with all the bells and whistles. And Beyond mint. Still has the new car smell. Leather looks like it has never been sat on etc etc. Doesn't hurt that it matches the F350 (Both dark green, tan two tone). I would love to keep both but the wife vetoed that idea.
