Please help P200E Nightmare

hello all im looking for some assitance with my 2008 F250 6.4

I have been fighting with this p200e code for a few weeks and im exhausted.
I originally received a sensor code i dont remember the exact code but it turned out to be the sensor in the pipe behind the engine near passenger wheel well in the up pipe.
after a sucessful replacement i went for a ride and thats when i got my first 200E
I have since cleaned my dpf (only with hot pressured water and air) and replaced all 3 egt sensors. no change!!!

What am I missing?

No problem and you weren't really in the wrong spot. I moved your thread here because it will likely get much better response and info here.

P200E Catalyst System Over Temperature (Bank 1).

That is what I get for the code.

I know what the code is, thank you for that though!

My issue is that I'm trying to find out why my truck is throwing this code!!
I've done everything I know to do for this issue and still have the same problem of over heating ad shutting down after about 30-40 miles sometimes less

I would suggest a proper diagnosis. It would appear to me that your cat is clogged...not the DPF

Verify the EGTA sensor pins are not pushed out and it is seating properly. That might be a problem

Try also reseating ECM connector B. (the middle one?? imy manual doesn't show where) That's where all of the sensor lines go.
Maybe there's a bad connection.

There's a bunch of detailed tests for this code, but you'll need a code scanner like an AutoEnginuity that can read the Ford sensor PIDs

As Senix mentions, a plugged CAT causing overtemperature sounds plausible. Any chance you can check it?

P200E - Catalyst System Over Temperature (Bank 1)

Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 2 (EGT12) and exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 3 (EGT13) sensors for an over temperature concern. If the EGT12 sensor temperature is greater than 830°C (1,526°F) or the EGT13 sensor temperature is greater then 950°C (1,742°F), the DTC is set. This DTC causes the PCM to immediately illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and enter a torque reduction failure mode effects management (FMEM), which may result in engine shutdown. Once the engine is shut down, the PCM prevents the engine from restarting for 1 hour. If the EGT13 sensor is not working, the engine will not start.
Possible Causes: Diesel particulate filter regeneration occurred during heavy load and high ambient temperature conditions
Excessive amount of soot or ash in the diesel particulate filter
Damaged EGT12 sensor
Damaged EGT13 sensor
Coolant contamination of the exhaust system
Oil contamination of the exhaust system

Diagnostic Aids: This DTC is an informational DTC and may be set in combination with a number of other DTCs which are causing the FMEM. Diagnose other DTCs first. Check the EGT12 and EGT13 PIDs. If no other DTCs are present, the system is operating correctly at this time. Advise the customer of the conditions that may cause this DTC.

Thank you very much for this.
I can certainly check the cat.

Also I have a scan tool that reads the pids, and the egt's
Seem to be reading correctly and all synchronized. Which would lead mento believe that the computer harness is ok, but it is def worth a shot to reseat it.

I will pull the DPF out today or tommorrow and take a look in the cat.

Thanks again
And I'll report back

I'd think you'd have driveability problems with a plugged CAT if that's the case. Check the other 'easy' stuff first.

After you figure this whole thing out, I'd be interested in hearing how the truck drives and how regens behave now that you cleaned out the DPF.

I blew some ash out with my air gun about 10K miles ago and it seems my completed regens are about 50miles further apart these days
