Im trying to sell my truck, so I put the DPF/DOC back on. Now there's only one problem, the check engine light comes on from time to time. Code P2455 is the only code that I am able to pull up. Since the truck has more then 100,000 miles I dont want to waste money on labor sending it to the shop. I replaced the DPF pressure sensor since that was what the code refers to. The code still comes up. The only thing aftermarket that remains on the truck is a BD Intercooler pipe. Any thoughts?
P2455 X
Diesel Particulate Filter
Differential Pressure
Sensor Circuit High
This error occurs if a short to power occurs in the diesel
particulate filter differential pressure sensor circuit.
I'd check all your wiring and see if something is rubbing. Which sensor did you replace? Maybe the other is having an issue?
I changed the sensor that records the pre DPF pressure. The other 3 only measure temperature. Since the voltage coming out isn't greater then 4.90 volts, i am thinking there is a short somewhere between the sensor and the PCM.
