Hi, a friend of mine ( without access to the 'net ) has an '89 Bronco that he needs to replace the rotors on. Are there any special methods that need to be followed to do this, or is it straightforward ? - TIA
remove the spindle nuts and lock rings(need the special socket)
remove the brake calipers
slide off the hub/rotor
beat out the lug studs to seperate the hub and rotor( put an old lug nut on top of studs a turn or two so you don't bogger the studs)
This is a good time to repack/inspect the wheel bearings, the outer will fall out when you remove the hub,you have to pull the grease seal to get at the inner.

Thanks guys, my mate didn't really fancy tackling the job himself - he's a bit green when it comes to auto maintenance. But because he's a bit strapped for cash atm, I persuaded him to "have a go". With all this info I have been passing on to him, he now feels confident to tackle the job ! Thanks Again - Shaky
