It will work, but you have to use the seat tracks from your original 1973 bench. Remove the seat tracks from the 89 seat and bolt it to the 73's seat tracks.

Up to a 96 should bolt right in, take the slider/bottom frame off your old seat and transfer it to you new one and wala done. So I have heard and read in here a ton of times.....
