97 vs 88 front suspension (interchangeability)

97 vs 88 front suspension (interchangeability)
This sounds backwards, but will 88 ibeams fit into a 97 truck.
I know brakes are different and don't interchange, but do the pivot points and coils stay in the same spot.
I found an 88 ranger in junkyard that has nearly new drop beams and brand new drilled rotors. My turbo ranger is a 97 though and is listed to have different drop beam. I'm assuming cause balljoints are different.
If I can use the beams and brakes from the 88 I'll be happy for now. I'll figure out bigger brakes later.
Will the 88 beams bolt into a 97.

I need to start reading on the ranger station again.
I can't find much info in the past here cause the iPhone and the search box fight.
I'm hoping they interchange cause then I'll have a set of new dropped beams for 50$.
