New truck
I'm new to the site and new to diesel trucks. just bought a 1986 or 1987 6.9 turboed idi don't know the exact year yet for 2,000. Has 50k original miles. It has a little bit of rust around the rear wheel wells but nothing major. needs some paint of course, pictures soon to come.

Welcome to the forum, you will get some good advice, and input from the boys here.
Did you get some service records to back up that 50k original miles, since the 86 and 87 had 5 digit odometers, it could be 1,2,3 or 4 hundred and 50K!

AKAmacgyver is right....make sure you get the paperwork to back it up, and the 86 will have the bigger grill and the 87 will have the hood that comes down at a 45 degree angle. The grill will also have spaces that are shaped like bricks....the bullnose's does too, but its larger.
