Hey yall, just bought a 2000 F-250 7.3L powerstroke and just wanted to introduce myself as I'm sure I will be here often.

Will post some pics up when I have some.

Yea, I showed up here amost two years ago trying to figure out how to make my door ajar light go off. Found the cure for that and caught something that seems to have me making excuses to my wife and family as to why my truck ran fine stock for over 90k and now can't continue to run safely unless I spend money on it "just as a preventive measure, since we decided to keep it and save the cost of a new one". So far it is working. I am slowly getting some of the things I want, I mean need. Welcome to FTE. The guys that hang out here will jump in and help you understand how your truck works and show you ways to save money on repairs so you will have it to spend on mods. See around the boards.

lol u guys, we'll see.

Think my tuning days are over, unless I buy another RX-7. About all I'm gonna do to this truck is exhaust and intake. I know the pros and cons of modifying (anything) and all I want out of this truck is reliability. The only mods I will do will be for reliability and fuel economy.

Get a spare cam sensor and throw it in the glove box with a 10mm socket. Its not if its when these things will go out.

look at my user name. that is what my attitude was when i first came to this sight. (i pretty much created that name to let it be known that i wasnt going to spend any money on mods. Or at least to convince myself!) 5" exhuast later and a bunch of other mods, and the sad thing is i just called dp tuning and talked to diane(jody's wife?) today about a pcm flash for 40 hp, prices, etc. ( but i know im realy going to end up getting a three pos. flip.) Its never going to end. By the way the folks at dp tuning are awesome and will take care of you!

Sounds good, I don't think I'll even be doing those mods within a year. Takes $$$$ which I don't have for quite a while.

hmm, 8 months and all I've added is a turbo timer. Haven't even thought about exhaust and intake.

Welcome, Normal. I liked my stock truck just fine when I bought it too.. Now that I have been reading the posts and threads in this "FTE" forum, I have begun to wonder, why I settle on stock settings and equipment when all they do is provide me with a run of the mill truck. There is information on this site and guys to help every PSD owner have an AWESOME FORD TRUCK!
