How low is the fuel level in the tank? What can happen is the screen gets dirty and
you start to pull air around the seal at the end of the pipe above the screen holder thing
Have you checked the lower filter cover for cracks? this can let air in also a bad O-ring
will do the same. Disable the FICM relay and turn the truck over with the filter removed
and see if your getting any fuel to the bowl or if it is full of bubbles. There are a bunch
of things to check and I am not up on all of them. At the top of the 6.0L is the
tech folder and it a good place to read on some things. You might want to
ask over at the 6.0L Forum or the Moderator can move the post.

Here is an excellent list on troubleshooting a "no-start" condition in the 6.0L Power Stroke.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...condition.html

Good luck.

^------ What he asked...... would be nice if folks would post up what the fix was on this forum instead of just asking questions and leaving it after finding the fix. The whole idea behind this forum is to spread knowledge and let others who have the same problems know of a possible solution.... so they don't have to take it to the dealership and spend the big $$$.

I really think my fuel gauge wasn't working right and it ran to low on fuel and caused the problem!
