I would not use it. You could use it if your engine was clean and really didn't need it, but if your engine is really dirty, where does all that junk go? Right down into the oil pan, and up into the oil pump pickup screen. Then you have no oil pressure.

Nothing beats regular oil & filter changes.

I couldn't agree more.
The only method I use to flush the oiling system on an engine, is replacing 1qt of oil with 1qt of ATF. It takes a lot longer to finish the job, but the ATF will dissolve the crud at a much slower rate so it can't clog the pickup tube.
The oil/filter has to be changed quite often at the beginning of this treatment, as it tend to get very dirty, very quickly. But as the engine gets cleaner, the oil changes can be extended, until you finally get to the "normal" interval.

It takes a while for crud to build up inside the engine, so it needs to take a while to clean it back out.......

I agree on the ATF. That is what I used on this 351W. Took 6 filters. I cut the filters open and they were full of black mud. And that was after just one "treatment".

Many people say they would not use Seafoam in the crankcase, but use Auto-RX instead because it is supposed to work slower. Many of the guys over on the Oilburners forum use it.
